Does Validator check links for 404 in batch mode for url?

Postby bhasker1 » Tue Aug 31, 2010 12:55 pm

I've the web server on my localhost. When I "processed" it for a url in batch mode with follow links, for the linked pdf files it generated warnings that since it does not know the root of the files it can't verify them.

the link looks like:

href="Path1/file1.pdf"

I want to make sure that all links point to a valid file and none should generate 404.

Somebody help.

Thanks

Hello,

Please have a look at the Link Checking->Path Mapping options page in the Validator Engine Options (in v10) and the documentation for it. It sounds like you should be able to use that feature to properly map the path so that CSE HTML Validator can properly check it.
