Validator's Editor uppercases tags

Postby pensacolauser » Fri May 13, 2011 9:04 am

The validator's editor is uppercasing all tags such as li, script, etc. I then validate the page and get hundreds of errors because the tags are uppercase. The source of my page does not have these tags in uppercase. Is there a way to have the tags left lowercase? I just upgraded to 10.02 this morning and it is still doing it.

Hello,

In Options->Editor Options, please check the "Insert HTML tags in uppercase" option setting in the Editor->HTML/Autotype page. It should be unchecked if you don't want uppercase tags.

Hmmm... perhaps you ran the Quick Uppercase Tags Tool?

I would run the Quick Lowercase Tags Tool (in the Tools menu) and see if that helps/undoes the issue.

If this still isn't the solution, then please describe to me in detail what the editor is doing that it shouldn't be. Thank you.
