Batch Wizard truncates files

Postby HansMerkl » Mon Dec 19, 2011 4:30 pm

Hi,
First I should mention I am still on Validator Pro Version 9.
I have been using the software for years without problems, but recently the batch wizard is giving me different results from the application. It seems the batch wizard doesn't read the whole file and subsequently reports errors for unclosed tags. When I open the same URL with the application the URL validates OK. So it seems for some reason the batch wizard doesn't read the whole file but the application does.
Is there a setting that could be causing this?

I have never had these problems and the only change I could think of is a switch from Verizon FIOS to Comcast. I would think if the connection was the problem then this shouldn't affect only the batch wizard.

Hello,

Sorry, I can't think of any setting that should help with this.

When you changed to Comcast, did you install any additional software that might interfere with web communications, like security software?

It could also be an bug or issue that has since been corrected in v11 (I always recommend using the latest version because of constant improvements in CSE HTML Validator and constantly changing web standards).

If you can't figure it out, then can you give me the URL of a page that doesn't work properly so I can test it in the Batch Wizard and try to reproduce the problem?
