Loss of Messages Window, CSEValidator 12.

Hi.
For a while now I have not been able to see the Messages Window, with the validation Results window spanning the full width of the screen. I did find a message about this earlier, but cannot find it again. (It didn't resolve my problem.) A search for "Messages Window" will not find a result in Search.

My settings are:
CSE HTML Validator Pro late 11 and 12 to date.
Fault: No Messages window bottom right of the screen.
Menu | View | Messages | Windows: selected (ditto Results, all tabs)
Results window, right click | Options | View Message Window: selected (other 2 options clear)

Having spent the last few months looking for a fix, I give up! Do you have any suggestions on how to recover the Messages window?

Other than that am very happy with the application.

Hi Chris,

So View->Windows->Message is checked and you still don't see the Message Window? Could it be hiding somewhere else on your screen or undocked somewhere?

If that doesn't work, then you could exit CSE HTML Validator, then delete this key and reload CSE HTML Validator: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AI Internet Solutions\CSE HTML Validator v4\Editor\Interface\MessagePanelSPX

Thank you so much. I never thought of it being undocked.

Eventually I found a line at the bottom edge of the screen and was able to drag it out, but it will only dock above the Results window, not back on the right. This is probably because I changed a setting sometime while trying to get it back in the first place. Presumably there is an option to move it to above or right side.

Sometimes I feel I ought to be in beginner mode!

Hi Chris,

I'm glad you found it.

To dock the Message Window to its usual position, while dragging it, try moving the mouse over the right side/edge of the Results Window, not the top.

Ace! Thank you so much. I had what I thought was tried that with no effect then changed my drag point and - hey presto - it worked.
