Parsing/coloring of long lines stops

Postby Albert Wiersch » Tue Apr 21, 2009 3:17 pm

If you are using v9.0x and have a document with lines over 1000 characters, then the parsing/coloring may stop for that line after 1000 characters. Also, spell checking may not work past the limit. This limit exists because it increases editor performance in documents with very long lines.

In v9.0212 and above, you can use the registry editor to change "EditorMaxLineLengthToParse".

Lite Edition: This is in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AI Internet Solutions\CSE HTML Validator Lite v6\Editor\Interface".

Std/Pro editions: This is in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AI Internet Solutions\CSE HTML Validator v4\Editor\Interface".

Exit CSE HTML Validator, set this to a higher number, reload CSE HTML Validator and see if this addresses the issue.

I've updated my line length.

Thanks Albert.

In the next v10 update, I've added a new tip that appears for documents containing lines exceeding the maximum line length to parse, and a new option in the <strong>Other Editor</strong> page in the <strong>Editor Options</strong> to easily change the maximum line length to parse (previously it required making a registry change).
