<cseignore> vs HTMLTidy

HTMLTidy does not recogise <cseignore> as legit. It sometimes deletes them or moves them screwing them up.

I gather you have nothing to do with maintaining HTMLTidy, you just bundle it, so you can't fix HTMLTidy. We need a way to hide them from HTMLTidy's ravages.

perhaps <!-- cseignore --> and <!-- /cseignore -->

This would not upset W3C validation either.

Yes, the comment format is recommended and does exist:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=144

<!--cseignore--> (case sensitive) can be used to simulate a <cseignore> start tag and <!--/cseignore--> (case sensitive) can be used to simulate a </cseignore> end tag


Be sure not to use spaces though.
