Disabling link checking?

Hi,

Is it possible to disable URL checking in CSE Validator?

When using CSE Validator itself, link-checking is not so much a problem as it's automatically filtered into the "Links" tab and I can just choose to ignore it. However, when using CSE Validator within TopStyle it's a real pain, as the link checks come up at the top of the Message pane when validating. I can't find any way to suppress this behaviour or to at least change the order in which the message groups are displayed in TopStyle's Messages window. A lot of the time I'll be coding up HTML with temporary dummy links or links that are correct but haven't yet been published live, so it's a real nuisance that I have to scroll down a whole page to get to the information I actually want to see - e.g. the real HTML validation issues.

Hello,

This is more of a TopStyle question because TopStyle is controlling the link checking in this case, but I think I can answer. There is an option in the TopStyle Options, under the Validation page to check the links. Try unchecking that option.

Thanks for the swift response.

Although I've used TopStyle for a long time, I completely forgot that it had a an options section for validation! I think I must have turned turned this off some time in the past, but the setting got lost when I reinstalled a more recent version of TopStyle. I've turned it off again now and link checking has been successfully suppressed.
