Error after uninstalling 10 beta and installing 9.03

Hi Albert,

I uninstalled the beta b/c it expired today and installed 9.03 and now I get this error every time I launch it.

Rather than figure it out myself I thought I'd bring it to your attention, in case someone else runs into it.

Looks like it's looking for a version 10 color scheme instead of the version 9.

I do have this: C:\Program Files\HTMLValidator90\ParserSchemes\color\default.xml

I suspect that pointer is in the registry?

I'm sorry for the trouble.

Yes, this was an issue with the BETA but it has already been fixed. If you ever used a version that had this bug, then it will need to be addressed.

The easiest way to address this would probably be to delete this registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AI Internet Solutions\CSE HTML Validator v4\FileTypesAndParsers

CSE HTML Validator v9.0 should re-create it when you start it again, but you will lose any customizations you made (if any) that are stored in that key.

Hi Rick,

Thanks. You could just delete the "SchemeFile" values as well (that you highlighted), but there are more of them. It's probably easy just to delete the entire key I mentioned above.
