TopStyle 4.0.0.88: Access is denied to...

Running TopStyle 4.0.0.88

When I edit a css file using TopStyle, I get a message that says

An error has occurred in the script on this page.
Line: 0
Char: 0
Error: Access is denied to file:///C:/Clients/GeoExperts/!Web/js/PIE.htc
Code: 0
URL: file:///C:/Clients/GeoExperts/!Web/_tstmp.asp

The strange thing is I am trying to open a file in a different client folder than the one listed in the error message.

I get this message every time, does not matter which css file I try to open.

When I inspect the GeoExpert web folder, I do not see a _ts4tmp.asp file. I have hidden files displayed.



Please advise...

You can turn off errors displayed by preview here:

Options (F8) > Preview > "suppress dialog boxes and error messages displayed by preview"

Yes, that removes the message. Is this a temporary workaround?

Yes. Something is wrong with this document, otherwise IE (running embedded inside TopStyle, responsible for internal preview) would not prompt this error.

You say something is wrong with this document. Keep in mind that this happens no matter which css file I open. So that would seem to indicate the problem is with a function within TopStyle.

The problem is with the document you're previewing in the Preview area. I assume you're previewing the same HTML document, regardless of what CSS document your opening in the editor.

There's a drop-down on the Preview area's toolbar. Change this to (create from current style sheet) and I'm sure that error will go away.
