TS3 Dictionaries Transfer

Hello Folks,

I'm having some difficulty in getting the dictionaries, built up over several years in TS3,
to work within TS4. Should they transfer with all the other settings, or is this a separate
routine?

I've tried manually copying / pasting the British and user dictionaries from the TS3
folder into the TS4 and while the British one appears to work, the user one doesn't.
I'm having to add several (previously used) new words each time I use it...

Hi,

Did you install TopStyle 3 with multi-user support? If you did, then your TopStyle 3 dictionaries are here:

C:\Program Files\Bradbury\TopStyle3\user\spelling

Otherwise, they are here:

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Bradsoft.com\TopStyle\3.0\spelling

Copy the file(s) from this directory into the TopStyle 4 equivalent here:

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Bradsoft.com\TopStyle\4.0\spelling

Important note: if you're on XP, then substitute C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Bradsoft.com with C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Bradsoft.com.
