Trial Mode Slowness

I recently downloaded a copy of TopStyle to try it out as a replacement for Homesite. I am running Windows 7 with 8GB Ram and it is really slow when it comes to accessing files over a network. My network share connects to Samba Server over the Internet. When I explore the share with Windows it is reasonably fast, but when I access it in TopStyle I am waiting minutes for it to load a file menu. It also, is pretty slow using the FTP explorer as well but better than Samba. I hesitate to purchase the product with this issue. Any ideas?

Today while using TopStyle I noticed a tremendous lag everytime I would use another application and then return. Please help!

I turned off the File Explorer and FTP Explorer windows and just opening the files using the normal file open menu and it is running much faster. Hopefully, this input helps.
