Broken anchor

Hi Albert,

Would it be possible to find the broken anchors when doing a link check?

Let say we have this link http://www.anysite.com/index.asp#anchor1

As it stands now, if this page exist, it would pass the link check, whether the bookmark anchor1 exist or not.

Hello Daniel,

I've added that to my list. However, that would take some time to implement at the expense of items that I think are more important.

Also, in order for that to work, the pages would have to be downloaded and parsed in order to check the anchors.

It would definitely be a good feature, but I've given it a low priority so it probably won't make it into 7.0. However, it would be easier to do with the Batch Wizard since many pages are typically downloaded and parsed. Do you use the Batch Wizard? Would it be helpful to you if it was implemented in the Batch Wizard?

Yes, I am using the batch wizard which allows automation of page validation and link checks. Implementation of this check within the batch wizard only would be fine with me.

Thank you. I will try to get this added in a future version but I'm not sure if it will make it in v7.0.
