Spell check comments

Postby roedygr » Thu Nov 10, 2011 7:53 am

Yet another spell check issue. It should be a configuration item whether spelling errors in comments are significant or not.

For me it very very important, both because I consider my work as teaching examples and because many of those comments are macros containing text that will expand into full HTML, propagating any errors.

For others, comments are just notes to the author, intended for no one else, so he does not want to waste time ever checking them.

Sorry, I don't understand... what do you mean by "a configuration item whether spelling errors in comments are significant or not"?

There are options in the Validator Engine Options to check the spelling in comments or not, but that only applies to the spell checking done when validating not when done in the editor as with F7.

I would need more detail as to what exactly you'd like to see added to CSE HTML Validator.

Thank you.
