Message form Batch Tool

Postby MikeGale » Wed Jun 11, 2008 8:56 pm

I was batch checking a web site that just had automated changes to various pages.

The batch wizard gave me this message:

The open tag name program for the element "meta (058)" generated an error while executing: 98081403: undefined symbol name '' in integer expression

What does that mean?

What do I do about it?

Happens on two pages.

Hi Mike,

If you didn't modify/customize the configuration and the "meta (058)" tag name program then it sounds like a bug in CSE HTML Validator's configuration file.

Can you send me a small sample document that reproduces this message?

Hi Albert,

I reproduced the problem with another file. I think it lies within a meta keywords section.

File sent by email.

Thanks. I got the URL but cannot open it (Firefox can't find the server at ds3.contactlens.org.nz). Can you email me the source or post it here? Thanks!

Hi Albert,

The attachment was a copy of a (much reduced) file that caused the problem when run through the batch processor.

The fragment of a batch list file is for illustration. That URL is local only, not public.

I suggest putting the file on a local web server, modifying the batch file fragment to point at it and running that.

Say something like:

<target flags="1069547540 " target="http://localhost/058Problem.htm">
<fiec flags="0" agent="Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.2; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727)" url="http://localhost/058Problem.htm" />
</target>

Does that help?

Oops! I completely missed the attachment. I was concentrating on the Batch Wizard target list fragment.

I have reproduced the problem with the sample document and will work on a fix tomorrow. Thanks for reporting it.

UPDATE: Fixed in BETA 2
