Search and Replace

If I select one word and choose Replace from the menu, that word is copied to the Replace Text dialog. However, if I select more than word, the Replace Text dialog is empty.

Most editors I use (Dreamweaver, Textpad) will pick up the whole phrase. VFP will choose the first word.

I think Control-F is commonly used for "find" in most programs. In CSE I have to use the menu since I can never remember that.

I like the dialog from VFP. Control-F brings up find, but there's a Replace button that when clicked, adds a "replace with" option and a replace all button.

Thanks. I have reproduced and reported the issue about the different behavior (based on whether a single word or a phrase is selected) when copying the selected text to the find/replace dialogs.

CSE HTML Validator also uses Ctrl+F for the find function.
