4a spurious reload document requests

Postby roedygr » Tue Aug 05, 2008 8:34 pm

When I click exit, and a background process has changed a docment, 4a asks me if I want to reload it. Of course not. I am exiting! It will go through great chain of these pointless requests when I have multiple documents loaded I have just run through some batch tidying/macro expanding process.

It should ask such questions only if I have modified to the document and I have to decide whether to save my changes or keep the recently modified version.

Thanks. I'll look into this and try to improve this behavior.

UPDATE: This should be resolved in the next BETA (BETA 4B).

I prefer the behavior in Dreamweaver:

I return to DW after files have changed (probably with Beyond Compare, an excellent program). I immediately get a notification for every file that has changed, asking if I want to reload it. I would prefer to also have the option able to reload them all or reload none, but it doesn't do that.

In CSE I have to click on each tab to see if they changed.

Being asked that when you're closing CSE is a bad time, because you've already decided you're done with that project.
