CSE HTML Validator Professional v9.02 RELEASE Now Available

Hint: Log in to the forum and click the 'Watch this topic' link for updates.

CSE HTML Validator Pro v9.02 RELEASE is now available to all customers that have a valid v9.0 license for the professional edition.

Many changes have been made in v9.02 from v9.01, but many of the changes are "behind the scenes".

If you currently have v9.00, v9.01, or v9.02 BETA/RC then simply install the release version over your current installation. If needed, you can always revert back to an older v9.0 version by reinstalling it over v9.02.

This release requires a v9.0 release key and may require an upgrade purchase.

Please report any problems as soon as possible. The automated reports that can be sent are helpful, but please also provide additional information by posting it in the forum.

Here is the revision history for v9.0:
http://www.htmlvalidator.com/htmlval/history.html

To download v9.02 RELEASE (Pro):
https://www.htmlvalidator.com/htmlval/p ... rsionin=90

To download v9.01 RELEASE (Std):
https://www.htmlvalidator.com/htmlval/p ... sionin=901

Hint: Load your current version and do an update check (Help->Check for New Program Version or Help->Check for Updates). This should open a browser window with your registration number and PIN number already filled out. Just select v9.02 and download.

IMPORTANT! CSE HTML Validator v8.0 and above drop support for Windows 95, 98, and Me. Now requires Windows 2000, Windows XP, Vista, or above.

IMPORTANT! A v9.0x RELEASE key is required. V8.0x and v9.0x BETA keys WILL NOT WORK with this release. You can obtain a v9.0 RELEASE key (an upgrade purchase may be necessary) from:

You need to change the link on the home page to reflect the change from RC to production. Presumably the public at large can now have at it.

Yes, I'm going to change that but I wanted to wait first to see if any issues came up. I think I may issue a minor update before announcing it there. There seems to be a minor issue when there is no printer installed or no default printer set.

Thanks. I removed the RC info. I'm working on a minor update to address a minor issue then I will try to get everything updated including a standard edition release.
