It would be nice if:

1. when you repeated a word, you could get rid of it with a click rather than having to stop the spell checking session to fix it manually.

2. there were an undo to back up.

You should already be able to do this. Does it not suggest to change repeated words to a single word when it flags repeated words? Or is it not even flagging repeated words? If not, then the spelling option to do so may not be checked.

I'm not sure what you mean. Can you describe the behavior you'd like in detail?
