Extending the editor and validator with external programs

I have tools going back years that make my life more productive.

This is code that I can invoke from editing environments to do things for me.

Two examples

1) I have script code which takes raw industry specific text and expands abbreviations at the push of a button. The version I use in Homesite is programmed in script.

2) I have a .NET assembly that cleans up a dialect of XHTML and formats it nicely. I'd really like to invoke that from an editor.

It would be valuable to be able to invoke such facilities from CSE.

Thank you. I've put this on my to-do list but it certainly won't get done for v7.0. I'm concentrating on bug fixes and possibly minor enhancements now. Hopefully future versions can implement some sort of command execution in the editor so you can run your custom commands and scripts. However, it is more of an editor feature than a validator feature and I must give the validator features higher priority. But it is on my long to-do list!
