I am trying out the beta. It is complaining I don't have a caption on my tables.

I don't understand what this is for must less why you consider it mandatory. My tables already have a <th>header. They already have a redundant summary= The caption appears in plain type above the table.

What is the exact message that you are getting?

Do you have accessibility checking on?
