I've had this issue with Vista 32 bit and Win7 64 bit.

I've never used the batch wizard, but do some of my edits in Dreamweaver and some in CSE and it wouldn't be unusual for my CSE to get focus by clicking on the close button, before I get the file-changed dialogs.

In my case, since I have a PHP site, I do not use the CSE editor. Instead, I am using Topstyle to update the various pieces of code. While I make these changes with TS, CSE is still running, but not really used. Now, I know there is some linkage between the two products, so I was wondering whether the changes that are made via TS, or simply starting it while there is still a CSE session active, might cause some confusion?
Just guessing of course.

Thanks for the feedback. Previous reports about this give me the sense that this problems occurs more often when:

1. The Batch Wizard has been used.
2. The program has been open for a "longer than usual" amount of time.

I don't think it would have to do with TS or the OS that is used. How long do you usually leave CSE HTML Validator open? Is it for hours at a time?

Nope, like I said above, I've never used it, in fact I asked you how to make it go away, which worked great. I believe I had this issue before you added it.

As for the duration of using CSE, I do not have the impression that this is a major element. In my case, the batch validation has to handle some 300 pages, which takes a couple of minutes. In general, there are a few pages that need correction, which will again take 10-15 minutes. During this time, CSE is still open, but not used.

This is more or less standard routine since this is one of the steps I do before uploading a new version of the website. I am quite sure that over the past months, I ran the batch validation several times without having the problem. This made me think that perhaps it had something to do with the corrections that sometimes are needed. I'll try to vcheck this out tomorrow.
