Interesting question - "a URL" or "an URL&quo

Postby Albert Wiersch » Tue Nov 13, 2007 11:36 am

Which sounds better? I suppose it depends on how you pronounce "URL", whether you say each letter or say it as a word. I usually say each letter so "a URL" sounds right... but how do you and others say it?

I must decide whether to use "a URL" or "an URL" in CSE HTML Validator. Currently I use "a URL".

I know, if it were a word "an" would normally be correct, but have always heard and said "a URL"

By the way, how is that kid of your?

a URL seems right to me, 'cause that's also the way I pronounce it.

Thanks. It looks like I'll stick with what I am already using.

As for the kid, he is doing well! :)
