script tag breaks syntax highlighting

Hello,
I have just downloaded and installed the Release version of 8.0 Pro. There seems to be a highlighting bug that breaks syntax highlighting if you have a script embedded in your page. The following little test page checks out without errors but highlighting seems to break. If I remove the script then highlighting seems to work.

Hi Joe,

Yes, this happens fairly frequently due to limitations with the editor component we use. Unfortunately, there's not a lot I can easily do about this.

You may want to consider putting your script in an external file, as that is usually what is recommended anyway.
