Validating whole web site in one go using Standard Version

Postby joolz » Wed Mar 23, 2005 5:59 am

Hi,

I am currently evaluating the CSE Validator standard software and I could not see a way of validating my site all in one go without loading each page in one at a time. Is this possible?.

Thanks for your help

Hello,

The professional edition includes the Batch Wizard to make this easier. If you don't have the Batch Wizard, there are other methods you might find useful. These use the Drag & Drop Window and cmdlineprocessor.exe and are explained better here:

However, I recommend that you consider upgrading to the professional edition and using the Batch Wizard. It will let you specify a single URL or single root file and can crawl/spider the site. The other solutions still require you to specifically supply each document that you want to validate.

If you are currently using the standard version, you really do need to see the Batch Wizard in action at least once. It is absolutely AMAZING! To do it any other way just isn't the same. I don't think a v7.0 Trial is available yet (should be soon I bet). But give it a look when it is (or an older one).

Once you see it, you'll INSTANTLY realize you WILL want that capability!

The reports it produces will blow you (and any potential clients) away.

I should also mention I now have some custom high-performance car parts thanks to the batch wizard. I'm a consultant to a web site as a result of sending reports on a regular basis and I worked out this trade deal. It only takes me seconds to run them! It takes longer to send them by email than it does for me to let the batch wizard do its thing. :)
