Can't open document

Postby leonard » Mon Aug 06, 2012 7:00 pm

I have been using CSE html for years and CSE Pro since last year. Always worked. Now, however, when I try to open a file I get a huge window entitled "CSE HTML VALIDATOR:ERROR OPENING FILE" it advises me an error occured trying to open an one of my html files. It advises me that the document may have been renamed, deleted, moved, or temporaily locked by an anti-virus program.

Previously I did try to move all my html files to a new directory, but the system would not let me so they still reside in the original location.
It seems some "pointer" has been messed up.

I use Windows XP. Any help will be appreciated.

Hello,

Can you open the file in another program, like in Notepad?

If you are trying to open a 'recent file' then the path may have changed and you may want to try opening it with File->Open instead.

Access denied. I am unable to open any thml document created using 1stPage2000. Even 1stPage2000 is unable to open one of its documents. I am also unable to copy any of those html documents. Somehow I have made all the html documents untouchable !!

Is sounds like some sort of permission problem. If you are using XP, then are you logged on with an administrator account? The only thing that comes to my mind right now is maybe you are using a user account that doesn't have permission to access those files.

OK. I hope you are able to figure it out. It doesn't sound like a CSE HTML Validator issue.

If you do figure it out, then I would be interested in knowing what happened, so please post back and let us know. Thanks!
