Download CSE HTML Validator Dictionaries
If you are using a version of CSE HTML Validator that supports spell checking, then you may want to download additional dictionaries.
To install the dictionary, please follow these steps:
- Download the dictionary.
- Close CSE HTML Validator if running.
- Extract the dictionary (the dictionary has an adm or adu extension) to HTML Validator's dictionary folder. If you're using the standard or higher edition, then this is usually C:\Program Files\HTMLValidator100\Dictionary, or C:\Program Files\HTMLValidator110\Dictionary, depending on the version that you are using. Similarly, if you're using the lite edition, then the folder would usually be C:\Program Files\HTMLValidatorLite190\Dictionary, or C:\Program Files\HTMLValidatorLite100\Dictionary.
- Load CSE HTML Validator and choose Options->Spelling Options if using v9 or below. For v10 or higher, choose Options->Editor Options and go to the Editor->Spell Checking page and press the More Spelling Options button.
- The dictionary should appear in the Dictionaries box. Select the dictionaries that you want to use and unselect those that you do not want to use. For example, if you want to use the British English dictionary, then select that dictionary and unselect the American English dictionary if it is selected.
