CSE HTML Validator Professional v4.0 integrates a powerful, lightweight, clean HTML/text editor with CSE's famous validation engine that produces intelligent, understandable results. Notice that the line in the document with the validator message is highlighted in blue. The message in the Results Window has been clicked on causing the text responsible for the message to be highlighted with green text and a black background.

Here is a screenshot of the editor with the Resource and Results Windows hidden. It also shows the editor with these options on: line numbers, line separators, right margin, gutter, word wrap, and horizontal split view mode. Notice that with split view mode, you can easily edit two documents simultaneously, or two different parts of the same document. Notice also that bookmarks are being used (see the gutter) to quickly navigate to bookmarked positions.

New with version 4.02! The Batch Wizard lets you create a list of targets and then validate all of them at once. A single HTML document is generated with the results of all the targets. Targets can be files, directories, or URLs.

This dialog box shows most of the configuration options available with the integrated editor.

The editor supports color syntax highlighting for several file types and lets you specify additional file extensions for those file types.

The latest version of CSE provides "classic" functionality by offering the drag and drop features of previous versions. Just display the Drag and Drop Window (see below).

Yep! That little icon is the new Drag and Drop Window. You can drag and drop files onto it like you could with the older versions of HTML Validator. Only this window supports the new features of v4.0 and takes up much less space on your desktop! [Hint: Double click the icon to quickly revalidate the last document validated.]

60 flags are available for you to turn on or off so that you can configure the validator to display or not to display certain messages. You can also control other aspects of the validator's behavior through these flags.

You can configure your own tags! Add your own tags to the HTML Configuration or change the existing ones.

A very powerful feature of HTML Validator is the ability to write "tag name programs" that are small programs which are run during a validation when certain tags or attributes are encountered. Using these small programs, CSE HTML Validator Professional v4.0 can actually reconfigure itself during a validation so you get the best results possible!
