Tools Tab

This is where you set up options that affect one or more of HTML Validator's built-in tools.

Radio Buttons

Convert Text File Format Tool Converts to - Use these radio buttons to select which text file format you want the Convert Text File Format Tool to convert to. You do not have to specify the source file format. Each CR, LF, or CR/LF combination in the source will be regarded as a new line.

Edit Boxes

Default date format - Enter the default date format (also called a format picture string) to use for the variable CURRENTDATE when using the template tool.
Default time format - Enter the default time format (also called a format picture string) to use for the variable CURRENTTIME when using the template tool.

Miscellaneous Options

Tools create .bak files - Check this box if you want HTML Validator to leave ".bak" files on your disk when you use a tool. A ".bak" file is the original file renamed with a ".bak" extension. If this box is unchecked, ".bak" files are still created, although they are automatically deleted.
