This is the second tab where you can change the editor options for HTML Validator's integrated editor.
Editor 2 Tab
Checkbox Options
| • | Auto Indent - Check this box to automatically place the cursor under the first non-whitespace character in the preceding line when you press the ENTER key. This option is enabled by default. |
| • | Smart Indent/Unindent - Check this box to consider the previous lines' indentation levels when indenting or unindenting selected text. In certain cases, the previous lines' indentation levels will be used so that the indent or unindent matches the indent of a previous line. This option is enabled by default. (New v9.02) |
| • | Back Unindents - Check this box to align the cursor with the previous indentation level from the preceding line when you press the 'Backspace' key. This option is enabled by default. |
| • | Use Tab Character - Check this box to place an actual tab character instead of spaces in the document when the TAB key is pressed. This option is enabled by default. |
| • | Leave Trailing Spaces - Check this box to keep a line's trailing whitespace characters (spaces and tabs at the end of a line) after pressing the ENTER key. If this box is unchecked, then any trailing whitespace at the end of the line is removed when the ENTER key is pressed. This option is enabled by default. |
| • | Cursor Bound to Chars - Check this box to make the cursor pass through tabs and not go past the end of the line. This option is enabled by default. |
| • | Wrap at Margin - Check this box to wrap text at the right margin when word wrap is on. You can set the right margin in the Text Edit Options in the Validator 1 tab. This option is not enabled by default. |
