Uninstall CSS HTML Validator

In addition to quick and easy installs, CSS HTML Validator also provides quick and easy uninstalls.

Uninstall CSS HTML Validator

NOTE: The CSS HTML Validator Uninstaller will ask you if you want to do a full uninstall. Answer 'Yes' only if you will NOT be installing, upgrading to, or using another version of CSS HTML Validator on this computer. Answering yes will automatically remove additional CSS HTML Validator files, folders, and registry entries, including your registration information.

Please follow the steps below to uninstall CSS HTML Validator.

1.Delete all manually created shortcuts (if any) to CSS HTML Validator.

2.Do one of the following:

Run 'Uninstall CSS HTML Validator' from the program group or folder that CSS HTML Validator was installed to.

From the Windows Control Panel, go to 'Uninstall a program', 'Programs and Features', or 'Add/Remove Programs'. From there, select CSS HTML Validator and then choose the option to uninstall.

3.[Optional] If the uninstall program does not completely remove the HTML Validator folder, then you may manually delete its installation folder if you wish to do so. For example, if you installed CSS HTML Validator Std+ 2018 into the default folder, then delete the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\HTMLValidator180 if it is still there. Make sure that you really want to delete all the files in any folder that you choose to delete.

4.[Optional] If you think that you will never reinstall or upgrade CSS HTML Validator, then you may want to delete some registry keys where HTML Validator's options are stored (although this is not mandatory or necessary). If you answered 'Yes' to the full uninstall question when running the uninstaller, then these registry entries should have automatically been deleted for you.

For CSS HTML Validator Standard or above, use the Registry Editor to delete the keys "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AI Internet Solutions\CSE HTML Validator v4" and "HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\AI Internet Solutions\CSS HTML Validator v4".

Note that it is not necessary that these keys be deleted when you uninstall CSS HTML Validator.

Reset to Factory Defaults

The easiest way to reset all settings and options to factory defaults is to follow the uninstall instructions above to do a full uninstall, then reinstall CSS HTML Validator. Note that you will need your license information to re-register the program.
