Re: Unexpected error

Hello, Here is the updated message if extended messages are enabled: The ":focus-within" pseudo-class is a CSS4 pseudo-class but is not a CSS 2.1 or CSS3 pseudo-class. Some browsers may not support this pseudo-class. For example, Edge and Internet Explorer do not support ":focus-within" (but current...

Re: Unexpected error

Hi Tom,

I'm out of the office for a few days so I can't research this in depth but I think the Stack Overflow discussion is correct.

Perhaps adding to the message about the CSS4 pseudo-class potentially invalidating the entire style rule would be helpful?

Re: New attributes for rel=preload LINK in Chrome 73+

Hello Tom,

The "imagesrcset" attribute and the "imagesizes" attribute are now listed here:
https://html.spec.whatwg.org/multipage/ ... nk-element

I will add them to CSS HTML Validator in the next update.

Please let me know if you find anything else that could use an update. Thanks!

Re: Obvious HTML error ignored on validation

Hello, I'm assuming you are referring to the "http://https://" at the start of the link? The link checker should catch that problem. If you validate in CSS HTML Validator's editor and then go to the Links tab in the Results Window and run a link check then it should show an error for that link.

Re: CSS HTML Validator 2019 (v19.01) Now Available

CSS HTML Validator 2019/v19 (v19.01) has been released! This is a recommended FREE MINOR UPDATE for 2019/v19 users.

Versions prior to 2019/v19 (which include 2018/v18 and prior) may require an upgrade purchase to 2019/v19.

Re: HTML Editor - Font colors

Sorry, CSS HTML Validator does not support color themes. The color options that are available for the editor are in the Editor Options in the Fonts and Colors options page.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Re: Structural outline?

Hello Tom,

Sorry, CSS HTML Validator does not currently include such a generator.

It is possible that it could be added in a future major update but there does not seem to be enough user desire/demand for it at this point.

Re: noscript alternative to application/ld+json scripts?

Hi Tom, I don't see any reason why that message should be generated unless it's an actual script that will be run/executed like JavaScript. I've addressed this in the next update. Also, it looks like you are using Section 508 accessibility checking. Unless you have a good reason to use that, I would...

Re: Possible Media Type error?

I've discovered a similar bug. For a base element like <base href="https://example.com">, the validator throws a link error: Status: Check Media Type Type: meta twitter:url Comment: Expected an image media type but got "text/html; charset=utf-8" instead The <base> element should have nothing to do ...
