Re: Custom element support?

Thank you. Right now I am working on improved/updated CSS masking support and support for conic-gradient and repeating-conic-gradient and this is next on my to-do list for 18.02, which I hope to release late this month or early next. I will be sure to take a look at those links.

Still developing on a 32-bit OS?

If you still use a Windows 32-bit OS to develop on (for example, a system that you would run CSS HTML Validator on for development), then please let us know about it (and why). Thanks!

Re: TouchPad Windows 10 and CSS Validator

Thanks for the update. I'm glad it wasn't specifically related to CSS HTML Validator. I hope you find a fix; I know touchpads can be extremely annoying sometimes.

Re: How to validate the resulting HTML of an SPA?

UPDATE: I've added this new page to our website to provide information on checking a live DOM with the Google Chrome web browser. There's a tip at the bottom that may be helpful as well.

Please feel free to suggest any improvements! Thanks.

Re: How to validate the resulting HTML of an SPA?

Please let me know how this works. In CSS HTML Validator , go to Editor Options and the Clipboard page and enable the ' Watch the clipboard... ' option. You might want to enable some of the other options as well, like the ' Auto validate... ' option. https://www.htmlvalidator.com/png/screenshots/201...

Re: How to validate the resulting HTML of an SPA?

Hello, I used to recommend the Firefox Easy Copy Add-on for checking the current DOM but unfortunately it's not compatible with Firefox Quantum : https://www.htmlvalidator.com/firefoxext.php I'll see if I can take a look to see if there is a Firefox Quantum compatible extension that can do something...

Re: application/ld+json script in head element

Hello,

That should be a regular message (not an error and not a warning).

I've changed it so that future updates will not generate this message for script elements that don't actually contain script (like when type="application/ld+json").

Thanks!

Re: TouchPad Windows 10 and CSS Validator

Hi Lou, So are you saying that with 2018 (v18) the touchpad eventually becomes active again but with v17 it doesn't? Unfortunately if that is happening then I really have no idea why it is. Are you using the latest version of the Synaptics pointer device utility? I did recently update my development...

Re: CSS HTML Validator 2017 Development Computer Build

I've updated this to reflect the removal of the 2nd video card (the 1030 card) and the 1TB mechanical drive, and the addition of a new Intel Optane 900P SSD drive.

Re: Custom element support?

Hello, CSS HTML Validator doesn't currently support custom elements but I will look into adding this in an update. If you could send me some test documents using custom elements then that would be appreciated and helpful for testing when I start work on this, perhaps my "big addition" for an end of ...

Re: Validator is misidentifying some images as identical

Thanks for the great report with all the details, sample HTML, and screenshot.

This should be fixed in the next update. I was also able to make some other improvements while looking into this.

Re: TouchPad Windows 10 and CSS Validator

Hi Lou, Unfortunately I don't know why that would happen. As far as I know touchpad control should be controlled by the OS or a driver. CSS HTML Validator doesn't do anything to enable or disable touchpads... that's usually an option somewhere else in the OS. I am like you that I much prefer mice ov...

Re: Location of charset meta tag (and other head elements)

Hello, I'm very happy to hear that CSS HTML Validator is proving to be more helpful than you expected! As for this issue, I'm going to change the message from: It is highly recommended that the meta charset tag be the first child of the head tag. Consider moving this tag up so it is immediately afte...
