Lockup creating a form

Win7 x64 newly updated to TS 5.0.0.99 Open Top Style File - New Html Document - HTML5 Click on the Forms tab Click on the Form icon If I click on something other than the form icon, or I've done something else first, there doesn't seem to be the issue, but If I follow those steps the program locks u...

Re: Using SSI with topstyle

I'm guessing you're coming from outside of the US ? I've got some rather draconian firewall rules set up. If you'd like to email me an IP range, I'd be glad to punch a hole for you, or if you'd like I can email you back the files

Re: Using SSI with topstyle

I see the web page just like anyone else does.

I made a copy of the index.html and renamed it to index.txt if you want to take a look

Re: Using SSI with topstyle

You don't have to edit a live site. You can install a local web server ... I realize I could install a local web server, but for a couple of reasons, I'd really rather not. Again, I understand that SSI isn't really part of TopStyle editing, but it would be really nice if it could support it by read...

Re: Using SSI with topstyle

Without preview mappings, TopStyle is previewing a LOCAL copy of the document you're editing YES, that is exactly the behavior I would like. Editing a live site is not an option for me, so I replicate the entire site locally and work on that. I only refer to pages and files with relative addressing...

Re: Using SSI with topstyle

Why is it necessary to set up preview mappings ? I work on a copy of the site on the local pc. I've got a (local) page that contains <!--#include file="~~head.html" --> (fails with #include virtual as well) It should try to include the ~~head.html relative to the current document. If I set up mappin...

Re: sass / less

Not to beat a dead horse (people say that when it's exactly what they're about to do) but ... It would be great if it were just supported for syntax highlighting, that way people using something like Scout or a similar tool would only need to save their scss file. I totally get, and applaud, your ad...

Re: Not checking for updated version on startup

Probably because the automatic check is looking for a new version once a week.
.... and people are coming at you with changes more than once a week

Not checking for updated version on startup

I thought I was loosing it for a little while, I've been doing a lot with settings and updating, and it didn't seem like I was being informed of updates (on starting the program) since upgrading from .82 but I assumed it was me tinkering with settings. I made sure and left the option to automaticall...

Re: Multiple problems when using html preview

Adding the preview files for each project is work even though it can be partially automated, selecting preview files is work, selecting tabs is a single mouse click. My threshold for defining 'work' is admittedly low :) If I'm working on a few different things at once, I don't want to have to read t...

Re: Multiple problems when using html preview

Out of curiosity, why aren't you running the HTML doc as a "Preview File" for the CSS doc? This prevents you from switching between the CSS tab and the HTML tab all the time. Because the css might affect multiple html files that I'm editing at the same time. It's easier to just tab switch to inspec...

Re: Multiple problems when using html preview

Thanks, Save/Tab Switch much better now :) thanks for explanation as well This makes sense because the CSS doc on drive has not been saved (yet). The HTML doc is linked to the CSS doc on drive (not the CSS doc in memory). This would be a really nice option to have (eventually). It would be especiall...

Re: Multiple problems when using html preview

Slightly better, but still glitchy: (5.0.0.83) With TS5 set to chrome as internal preview, simple html file with table, simple css file to define cell padding, css and html files open: on css tab change padding, save-all, switch to html tab = preview updated on css tab change padding, switch to html...

Re: Multiple problems when using html preview

I'll send the settings, but I had just reset to the defaults prior to testing just to make sure it wasn't something I had changed
