Re: Firefox 7

Another piece of 'software' that is doing this is WordPress. They realesed version 3 and in no time they had an update. Hope this is just a one time affair and they are not going to follow FF and Itunes.

As far as I can tell we're still on FF8. Where did your 9 come from?

Re: Firefox 7

Not much changed indeed. What I hate about these updates is that some add ons don't work with a new version. Really annoying and what for? Nothing really has changed.

This is getting totally out of hand.

H tags and br

Would anyone happen to know if the h tags would still work with the google engines, when you use a br tag in between the opening and closing tag? For example <h1>This is a <br>long line of text</h1> Seeing as the Google ranking algorithm values the h1 tag as important because it nomally contains imp...

Re: Firefox 7

Yeah the Add-on compatibility reporter is a huge help. I have been always a big fan of the Google search bar tool but it never worked after FF5 but now I got it to work again with the help of this addon:-). So far most of my add-ons still work but then again I don't use many. Firebug Firesizer Read ...

Re: Firefox 7

This update scheme of FF is getting ridiculous. Just a few months ago I updates to version 5 and now we are talking version 8? I don't understand this need to update to new versions. Why not just move the extra number up one at a time 7.1/7.2/7.3/7.4 I noticed that half way this year there were soft...

Re: Where / how to sell a domain name?

I have seen that post. Well at the least you could say they've got balls to pull a stunt like that and the great thing about approacing you is that you got a nice usefull domain for a normal price :D .

But I really hate scammers and hoarders!

Re: Where / how to sell a domain name?

Nothing personal but I hate it when folks sell domainnames. Just let it expire and die and give someone else a chance to own it without buying it for a higher price than is 'normal'. I and my customers so often come across domainnames that are bought by companies just to sell them of at a higher pri...

Re: Newsletter check

I agree that tracking the changes in every email client would be a huge pain in the ... But even though I am using old fashioned html with some inline style css I still encounter huge issues. Take for instance Outlook 2010. Outlook 2007 and 2010 use Word as their render engine (what were they thinki...

Newsletter check

Maybe a good idea to add to CSE is the abillity to check the coding of newsletters. What I mean by that is, that in most mail clients w3c compatible coding just won't work. It would be extremely usefull to check a document and see if it will be compatible with most major mail clients and which code ...

Re: Recommended software and resources

Those buttons look pretty good :D . Although I find it easy to create a button in Photoshop (for instance this one I made for my blog http://www.albruna.nl/albrunablog/images/2010/12/download1.jpg it takes more time to code a button with mouse over effect. The software you talk about sounds like an ...

ASCI characters/special characters

Hello, I am using and old version of CSE (version 6.53 Pro.) so it may not be part of this version but I was wondering why CSE isn't helping me finding the mistakes I made in regards to the special characters like: ü ä and so on. They are now shown as: ü - ü ä - ä is there an 'easy' way of finding...
