Re: Error -102 when loading url http://localhost/....

Can't tell from your post if you are talking about XAMPP, your browser or html validator. Have you gone to XAMPP control panel and started apache? is the file you are trying to open located in ./xampp/htdocs/ ? If you just updated XAMPP, all indications are that, the installation is the problem. Che...

Re: The Website Obesity Crisis

Just played with PayPal. You can create a "Pay Now" button. That takes One Click to get to PayPal with a fixed amount I tried $0.50 You can also Put a drop down list to go with the "Pay Now" button. I set one up for "article was OK $0.25" "I liked it $0.50" and "It was Great $1" What ever you setup ...

Re: Checking alt text equality for the same image

Well I was thinking a regular message, but I understand your confusion all my English teachers were sure I should have been in an ESL class :) However, if this check is only on with accessibility checking enabled then I would agree a warning would be approprate. I could easily be turned off if desir...

Re: Checking alt text equality for the same image

I would suggest a message by default, although users can change each message from a warning to a non-warning(?) In context an apple.jpg could correctly be either alt text of "an apple" or "a fruit." Currently there is a warning for an alt text of "". I suggest a message because some work hard to get...

Re: random string

try this

Code: Select all

<?php
$a=array("A","B","C");
shuffle($a);
echo "$a[0],$a[1],$a[2]";
?>
I find the shuffle function vary handy.

Re: mt_rand doesn't work

Why don't you just use the php shuffle(array) function?

Code: Select all

function photorandom()
{
    $photo = array("www.google.nl" => "1.jpg", "www.bing.com" => "2.jpg", "3.jpg", "4.jpg");
   // seed ran gen
   srand(time());
  // randomize the order in the array
  shuffle($photo);
  return $photo[0];
 }
