Re: Checking pages that use posted content

I was able to use the embedded browser. I could not use ?txtSearch=hello because the final page uses $_POST and not $_GET. That is how I understand it anyway.

Atleast I was able to check.

Thanks.

Checking pages that use posted content

Hello

I have a search engine (using php to build the results from the db). It takes the posted text from the search form and away it goes.

Now, since it relies on posted content to build search results, how can I test this page with the validator?

Warning about table width

Hi I get this message: Consider using the "width" attribute with the "table" element. This is considered to be good style and can cause the table and page to render faster. Note that this is not a deprecated attribute in HTML 4.01 nor XHTML 1.0. It's also a valid XHTML 1.1 attribute. ...r your value...

Ingore support forum sub-folder

Hello

I am using the batch-wizard on my own site. One of the links goes to my support forum. It comes up with a huge array of errors. But the forum is a phpbb forum so I assume all those errors should be ignored. How can I suppress the errors for my forum folder?

Thanks.

Hyperlinks which use objects

Hi Warning in line 113 at character 15: The "a" tag contains no link text. Though it is not technically required, it is recommended that all "a" elements contain appropriate link text or an appropriate element, like "img". I realise this is not a problem. I just wanted to discuss it. The home page h...

Re: Tracking CSS issues batch wizard

Yes, it certainly is, although interestingly CSS does not show in the droplist. It is certainly ticked on the regular editor.

I just tried doing a process again and I still get no errors.

Tracking CSS issues batch wizard

Hello If I open a local file in the regular editor and do a full scan it displays (for example): Message in line 27 at character 2: (Styles->Good Style) When a background color is defined, it is recommended that a foreground color also be defined (by using the "color" property). This helps to avoid ...

Re: Using online and href within a link

OK, I think I have come up with a suitable solution that would not cause compliance warnings. <html> <body> <p>start of page</p> <script type="text/javascript"> document.write("<a href=\"javascript:window.open('http://www.microsoft.com','name','height=400,width=200')\">Click here A</a>"); </script> ...

Hello again I have this code: (<a href="privacy.html" onclick="popUpWin(this.href,'console3',610,210);return false;" target="popUpWin" title="View our privacy policy">Privacy Policy</a>) To be honest, it is something that I scoured from the internet several months ago. Re: Hyperlinks and whitespace

I see, that makes sense. But then I am confused. The validator is warning for this file: http://www.silcox.co.uk/new_site/contact-us.php Line 174 character 1. The only thing I can see is the tabbed character at the start of each line. This is the only whitespace. Is that wrong? That is all I can thi...
