Re: Master Link Report won't show all links

Hello, If I understand correctly, you want to extend the Master Link Report to also include non-error and non-warning links? If this is what you want then I can look into adding an option to include those additional links in a future release. Also, how important is this to you? It will help me decid...

Re: Error: 2005052004: The JavaScript linter timed out

Done. Thank you. Got it. Thank you! And, as you confirmed in an email, the problem was that JavaScript Lint was enabled in the Validator Engine Options . This is the old deprecated JavaScript linter (not JSHint and not JSLint ). Somehow it must have gotten turned on or the setting was kept througho...

Re: Error: 2005052004: The JavaScript linter timed out

Hi Mark,

That's strange. Are you able to send me a (preferably small) sample document that I can use to reproduce the problem? If so then can you send it to support at htmlvalidator dot com via email attachment?

Re: Error: 2005052004: The JavaScript linter timed out

Hi Mark, I'm sorry for the trouble. Are you trying to validate a JavaScript document? If so then it will try to validate it using the default JSHint linter if all the JavaScript checkers have been disabled. This is because it assumes you want to validate the document if you specifically try to do so...

Re: Batch wizard performance

In case anyone following this topic is interested, adding the timing information for the duplicate title and meta description reports and then doing some test runs did not show that those reports where taking an inordinate amount of time.

Re: Amp error

Hello,

Please check for updates and try v19.0303 (which is now available for the pro edition). It should ignore attributes in square brackets for AMP HTML documents.

Re: Amp error

Hello, Thank you for the report. AMP web page validation is limited because there wasn't a lot of demand for it in CSS HTML Validator so it hasn't been maintained, however, I would be happy to further improve the program's usefulness for validating AMP documents if easily possible. I will look into ...

Re: Errors labelled as Warnings or Messages

Hello,

One more update on this... I have a BETA version of the next major release you can try if you'd like (with improvements to table structure checking). If you're interested then please send me a private message. Thanks!

Re: Batch wizard performance

Hi Alex, I hope to get a BETA to you by the end of this week. I also wanted to let you know that I forgot to put HTML Tidy checking on that page. You're probably not using that but if you are then disabling HTML Tidy checking could save a significant amount of time. The next version of the documenta...

Re: Errors labelled as Warnings or Messages

Hello, I've reviewed this issue and have improved the table structure checking for the next major release. There should now be a warning on the "tr" tag when that row does not contain the expected number of cells instead of a similar warning only being on the "table" tag. However, regarding the erro...

Re: Batch wizard performance

Hi Alex, That's great. That's a 22% improvement if my calculations are correct. :D I have not done any tests to figure out how expensive the duplicate page title and duplicate meta description tests are. You process a large number of documents so they could be "expensive". If you want to find out th...

Re: Errors labelled as Warnings or Messages

Hello, Sorry about that and thanks for reporting this. It looks like CSS HTML Validator is not detecting a problem with <tr><tr> so I will work on fixing this. I'll also see if I can improve the messages regarding improper column counts for table rows. Currently this just causes a warning to be issu...
