New message now shown

In v6.9911, I've added a message box that appears when in full screen mode if you try to view the Resource Window. It says that it is not viewable when in full screen mode. This should avoid future confusion as to why it doesn't show in full screen mode.

How to reproduce?

The resource window should not show up in full screen mode even if it is selected. This is due to design. But you can maximize the window and toggle the resource window. Full screen mode is a special mode that is designed to always hide the resource window for maximum editing space. If you think the...

Hello, I'll look into this issue. I really do not know much about NTLM either, only that the component that is now being used is suppose to support it. I will post back if I find something out. I will release a new BETA to try again if I think I've found a solution. I consider this a relatively impo...

Re: authentication

do we have to do anything special to use the new NTLM authentication with v7.0 I tried doing a batch validation of a NT authenticated site and it still could not get there. No, you shouldn't have to do anything special. Does anyone have an NTLM authenticated site that I could use for testing? It wo...

Great, I'm glad it's working! I think it may have been that you didn't notice as I had been confused by this before as well. If the page is much the same, it's hard to notice a difference. However, if you have auto validate on, then CSE should automatically validate the page when it is done loading ...

Hello, Your logic is good, but that's not the way CSE works. CSE updates the WB Source tab when it receives a document complete event from the browser. I have a form that works like you say, it uses the same URL. I checked CSE with this and it worked fine. It refreshed the page correctly, even thoug...

Re: Reloading "WB Source" window?

Hello, The WB Source should change and show the result of the posted form. The only thing I can think of when this might not happen is if for some reason the page cannot be completely loaded. Do you have any images or any external links to graphics that are not loading in the results page? This coul...

Keyword Analyzer

Does anyone have any interest in a keyword analyzer as part of CSE HTML Validator? This may be useful for people trying to improve their search engine rankings. Perhaps something similar to this: http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/keyex.htm Or would you prefer the time spent on that fe...

Re: Anchor check

Hi Daniel,

Thank you. I will try to get this added in a future version but I'm not sure if it will make it in v7.0.

Anchor check

Hello Daniel, I've added that to my list. However, that would take some time to implement at the expense of items that I think are more important. Also, in order for that to work, the pages would have to be downloaded and parsed in order to check the anchors. It would definitely be a good feature, b...

Hi Bob,

I haven't looked at HTML Tidy yet, but I will definitely look at it in a future v7.0 BETA (probably after BETA 1). I am working on a lot of other things that I want to get done first, then I plan to look at Tidy and see how it could be integrated with CSE.

v7.00 BETA 1

UPDATE on v7.00 BETA: I plan to release v7.0 BETA 1 by the end of January 2005. I am continuing to work on it and will get as much as I can into it. I do plan to continue to add new features to further BETAs until a certain point when I feel that it's time to get a release out soon (probably mid-yea...

Re: Would you like a CD with that?

How long would the CD be current for anyway? With a program like HTML Validator, updates are frequent so even if a CD was bought or supplied it may not be up-to-date at the time it was needed and a download of the current version would still be neccessary. For very large programs I might consider b...

Would you like a CD with that?

When purchasing software online, how important to you is the option to pay extra for a physical CD in addition or in place of downloading the software electronically?
