Thank you all for your feedback. I also am worried about getting too far off-track from what CSE does best. It certainly doesn't look like there's enough interest for a keyword analyzer to justify the time needed and the negative impact on adding other features to CSE's syntax checker.

that does appear to work, but I am not sure how that helps me in batch validation which is where I need this most If it works there, then it should work in the Batch Wizard . In the Batch Wizard , right-click on the target that is not working and choose Properties . Goto the URL Specific tab and ma...

My purchasing people got my license for CSE HTML Validator upgraded, so I have tried beta3 and still cannot do batch validation of NT authenticated web sites. Hello, Can you use File->Open from the Web to open a document on a web server that requires NTLM authentication? Be sure to check the Use us...

I would like to get a some updated Dreamweaver extensions to post them on the site. Hopefully I can do this within the next few months.

Can you send me a document (to support@htmlvalidator.com) with those words in it so I can make sure the correct words get added to the dictionary?

Thank you.

Hello,

Thank you. I use 6.99 to mean 7.00 BETA, so that's correct. Thanks for letting me know about the docs on the web site saying BETA 2. I forgot to update them to the BETA 3 docs. There's not much difference in them but it's still good to keep the website current. :-)

Hi Steve,

While I couldn't make the source window disappear, I did find some odd behavior. I will look into it. Hopefully by correcting this it will fix the issue you have reported.

Hello Steve, Since you mentioned the ASP entry, I assume that you read about using the intgrated web browser to browse the site and check it as you browse. That is one way but of course it is manual. With the Batch Wizard , you can exclude parts of a site using an option in the Target List Options t...

Re: Validating whole web site in one go using Standard Versi

I am currently evaluating the CSE Validator standard software and I could not see a way of validating my site all in one go without loading each page in one at a time. Is this possible?. Hello, The professional edition includes the Batch Wizard to make this easier. If you don't have the Batch Wizar...

Re: Ohh registration

I was looking forward to trying the next beta, but I guess my year of free upgrades is up and I can't try the next beta until I upgrade. I am guessing you will have an eval at some point so I can verify the NTLM authentication works for us before we purchase an upgrade since that is the main featur...

Sorry about that. It looks like the avatar directory permissions were wrong due to the server move a while back. Please try again.

Re: Eclipse Plugin?

I was wondering if you guys plan on an Eclipse plugin to validate HTML code. Eclipse is the leading IDE and currently supports HTML Tidy only. A CSE Eclipse plugin would greatly enhance the IDE and also bring many more users to HTML Validator. Hello George, We currently have no plans to create one ...

Re: Can HTML validator exclude certain checking?

However, we dont validate entire pages, we need to validate a block of text that is programmatically inserted into a page... So there will never be a HEAD or BODY tag, etc. Can your application do this from a batch file? Yes! If you validate a block of HTML, then CSE will assume it is in the proper...

I believe I've fixed the NTLM issues in BETA 2A (not yet available). The problems were caused by bugs in the third party component related to using the compiler I was using. I've reported them to the developer. I want to get a few more things done then I will release a new BETA and NTLM should work....

Hello, I've changed it so that the "size" attribute can be used when type="file". When the "maxlength" attribute is used with type="file", it will generate this warning: The "maxlength" attribute may have no effect with the "input" element when "type=file". For example, IE 6.0 and Firefox 1.0 are no...

Re: Please explain this warning

I have serched on the web for further references to this issue, but I have found nothing. Please could you explain (or give a reference URL) about the above mentioned Warning, and how it applies to input=type"file"? Hello, Here is a link to the specification: http://www.w3.org/TR/html401/interact/f...
