Albert I wasn't involved in this thread before, but your last message caused me to test the link checker again. It fails on all links, reporting [Error Computing Path] for every link in every file I've test so far. Using pro version 9.02 beta 2B If it helps, here is the url of one of the files I use...

Although I commonly use JavaScript fragments in my pages, I'd prefer the default option for JavaScript checking to be off.

Thanks Albert, I just knew it was going to be a simple solution like that, but for the life of me I couldn't find it on my own. Probably because I never thought of that little window being called a "messages" window before (even though that's exactly what it says).

Results Window question and suggestion

Albert I'm kind of embarrassed to even bring this up after using your fine program for so many years now. About an hour ago in the results window I closed the panel over on the far right side, the panel which shows the current message in word wrap mode. Now I want to turn that little word wrap messa...

I agree. I am going to get a lot of use from this feature. Every so often I have a need to look at the source code of a web document I did not create and for years I've been using the GrabURL utility to do so, but this is much better. The one suggestion I would offer for consideration is the Open Pr...

Thanks for the response Albert. However believe it or not whatever was causing that error message, has stopped and gone away. For several days it happened every time I sent an html document containing some Google Analytics code to CSE 9, but then the error went away. And for the life of me I cannot ...

Internet Explorer Script error

Hi Albert, I've noticed an odd thing with the beta I'd like to bring to your attention. Whenever I send a page to CSE9, when CSE9 is not already running, I'll often see the following error as CSE9 launches: Internet Explorer Script error: '_gat' is undefined. This happens on pages where I'm using Go...

I also would find something like this very useful Albert. Actually I do a rough calculation manually now of my more complicated pages, so an automatic one would be a time saver.

Digital photography is my hobby
You too eh Albert? I've always enjoyed photography but since the digital age I've really gotten into it. I probably spend way too much $$$ on equipment and software but I love every minute I'm playing with my "toys". :D

IrfanView will work fine, it's been so long since I've used Paint I don't remember much about it. The compression I mentioned has nothing to do with zipping files, it's an option you can set with IrfanView (or whatever imaging program you use that supports creating JPGs) when you save a jpg. High co...

Ok I see what you did there with those seemingly empty DIV tags Jeanne. You're only using it to display the rectangular graphic of your name as a background image for the div. If it were me I'd just display the graphic as an image in my HTML, perhaps centering it in a div element. <div align="center...

Hi Jeanne, I finally found a little free time to peek at your http://www.cableguymom.com/ web site, here's some initial thoughts on it. Perhaps it's intentional on your part but the first thing I noticed was the slow loading time of the page. Traced that to the photographs which look like they may b...

I've used http://www.dynamicdrive.com/ for such things with pretty good success.

On a related subject but not for floating menus, I really like Xara's Menu Maker for building Dynamic menus. It's not free but it's very reasonably priced and easy to use.

Cheyenne I did a double take when I read your question of "What is a clip?" For to me a clip is the name of the very familiar to me programming language of my preferred text editor NoteTab Pro. So at first I thought I must have inadvertently mentioned that in one of my previous posts but now I reali...

Years ago when I was trying to figure out what you're trying to figure out Cheyenne I found the following web site cleared up a lot of confusion for me. http://www.richinstyle.com/masterclass/lengths.html The one thing I do differently than richinstyle.com is I purposely use 100% in the following ru...
