Re: 5 excellent ways to drive traffic to your website

I do NOT.

(What's wrong with these guys that they forget to post links?)

We need to see what we can do to attract better spammers....

Re: Getting Ready for HTTP/2

We're testing a VM version of load balancing that supports HTTP/2. If it works, we'll probably go for the appliance type with an ETA of about a month. Since that involves SSL on the public side (we already have it on the secure side), and we use session cookies, I'll probably try to incorporate a co...

Re: CSS Inheritance

I did it all manually by searching the page. I have about 5 public templates, depending on scripts used and other factors. Most of the inlined css is similar so what applies to one is easily applied to the others. I have close to 7k of inlined critical css, which makes my page start to render in und...

Re: CSS Inheritance

I'm finding some stupid stuff that's inlined on every page of my public website: .main{margin-left:220px;text-align:left; line-height:1.5 } .. p{ margin:1em 0 } .. .main p{ line-height:1.5em ; margin:1em 0 } Removed even more with unneeded text-align, color and background color. Round 1: I removed 3...

CSS Inheritance

Looks like a nice way to minimize code. Why haven't I seen a way to do this online?

Re: CSS Shrink

Thanks, that doesn't work either. I used "a" for the only tag, expecting to see links start a new line and that didn't work either. NBD for me. 98% of my code is in a Dreamweaver template so update half a dozen public templates and most of my code is cleaned up. Great feature, but with subscription ...

Re: CSS Shrink

I looked over all the options, but found nothing else. I wonder if the problem is the block level tags. http://api.html-tidy.org/tidy/quickref_5.2.0.html#new-blocklevel-tags new-blocklevel-tags This option specifies new block-level tags. This option takes a space or comma separated list of tag names...

Re: CSS Shrink

Hi Albert, I added your profiles and applied it to an html page using pretty-fix. Instead of removing white space it added a LOT. Minify (max) should have no indents, possibly even removing CRLF to make super long lines. I had to use the dialog and uncheck "Use below options", then it worked a littl...

Re: CSS Shrink

Hi Albert, The FireFox extension will scan your entire website from a sitemap (page or xml) and pair up the style sheets with the pages and give you a list of possible orphans, which you then have to figure out from scripts (and memory), which ones you might be able to comment out. Lots of guessing ...

CSS Shrink

http://cssshrink.com/ A unique twist on minimizing css. I like the "Pretty" before and after code windows, but you don't want to do editing of your source with a big file, 'cause it can be slow. I've used other apps to do this before, but it still found two statements (next to each other) that could...
