Tuning for performance.

Still obsessed with PageSpeed Insights, WebPagetest and GTmetrix scores, I've been tweaking. :? The addition of a slider to my home page meant I had to load just one slide and build the rest via javascript after page load. The addition of a YouTube video meant I had to postload it after page load. I...

Pingdom Web test.

https://tools.pingdom.com I only get a "C" for cookieless domain, but that'll be fixed with the new web site/domain. It's expensive buying new certs when they don't expire for another year. Otherwise everything else I'm being penalized for is Google's fault. (Stupid YouTube video.) I like thi...

Re: Is your domain in the preload list?

That's on my to-do list. I suspect we could redirect only html pages, but we still have software that requests updates over port 80.

Speaking of css bloat...

... I'd like CSE tell me that I have css inlined that isn't be used. :D Hi Albert, If I have several classes and id's in inlined css and those classes and id's can't be found on the page, could CSE let me know? I'm not talking about anything obscure (like input type=password), just the low hanging f...

Re: Content Security Policy

Here is an interesting link about breaking things even if you use correct CSP (due to bad browser implementation): http://www.troyhunt.com/2015/10/how-to-break-your-site-with-content.html Thanks for the link. Great read! It's been several months since implementing CSP. The first problem I noticed w...

Old browser support.

Hi Albert. I saw this message today: [605] The "border-bottom-right-radius" property is a CSS3 property but not a CSS1 or CSS 2.1 property. Some browsers (especially older ones) may not support this property, or may have only partial support for it, or may require a vendor prefix (like -moz- or -web...

I don't know why I checked, but I noticed your site was looking pretty good and wondered if it was from my link.

Re: Content Security Policy

Well, this is me, having to set a Content Security Policy header and update styles and scripts so they still work: :? I don't have anything to check with CSE yet, but will soon find out how it works. I found out real quick that it's easy to break a site, even if it's just development, with the wrong...
