Possibly repeated word

Post by RSteinwand » Thu May 30, 2013 9:52 am

Hi Albert,

I'm getting this message with no line number:
Possibly repeated word (1): for. Complete list.
---
It's possible it might be due to the sloppy html created by IISpeed, which CSE doesn't like.

I emailed you the file, which was "view source" from IE10.

Hi Rick,

CSE HTML Validator doesn't give the line numbers for the repeated words in this message. It's possible that a future version will though.

I received your document and quickly found the problem by searching for "for for". There were two occurrences of repeating "for".

Ok, I misunderstood the use of "for". I assumed that was part of the message, not the repeated word.

Fixed. Thanks.

What's the purpose of the "complete list"?

No problem. :D

It means that all the repeated words were shown in the messages. Sometimes, when there are too many, it doesn't list all of them.

I think I should remove that as it's not necessary. It's probably better to just state when all the words were not listed, so it can be assumed that all the words were listed unless otherwise stated. :)

I agree, removing "complete list" might be less confusing.

Listing the repeated words in a different style or color or a new line might work too. (italicize them?)

Yes... I made the change for the next update. The version I sent you today should have the change as well.

Text formatting like that isn't currently supported.
