Checking links in a text document

Post by Albert Wiersch » Fri Nov 01, 2013 11:54 am

Have you ever wanted to check all the links in a text document? I have, so I've added this little feature to v14.

If you have a text document that contains absolute (not relative) HTTP or HTTPS links at random locations (does not have to be one per line) and want to check those links, then check the document as usual in CSE HTML Validator Std+ v14+ but make sure that the first line contains exactly "CSEJOBTYPELINKCHECKTEXTRANDOM" (without the quotes). Note that the 'Auto detect text files containing links (one per line) when validating' option in the Validator Engine Options->Link Checking Options Page should be enabled (if not already).
