schema.dcterms

Post by roedygr » Fri Apr 25, 2014 3:29 am

When "rel" contains "schema.dcterms", an "href" attribute with the value "http://purl.org/dc/terms/" is expected, but this wasn't found.
<link rel="schema.dcterms" href="http://dublincore.org/documents/2012/06 ... s/?v=terms#">

It is redirected. Is it best to leave it at the original?

Re: schema.dcterms

I tried this generator here:
http://www.dublincoregenerator.com/generator_nq.html

And it uses:

Code: Select all

<link rel="schema.DC" href="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">
If you want to use DCTERMS instead of DC then I would use this from http://dublincore.org/documents/dc-html/#sect-3:

Code: Select all

<link rel="schema.DCTERMS" href="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" >
or (with lowercase dcterms)
<link rel="schema.dcterms" href="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" >
Interesting reading regarding DC vs dcterms:
http://wiki.dublincore.org/index.php/FA ... Namespaces

They are similar but not the exact same thing.

So, to answer your question, I think this is best:

Code: Select all

<link rel="schema.dcterms" href="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" >
However, in practical usage, it may not matter. I'm not sure what system or search engine uses or needs the above.
