Authentication not working in Batch Wizard

Post by spodnet » Thu Apr 16, 2015 3:19 am

Hi,

I'm trying to validate a basic authentication website.

I can open the page in the editor OK with username/password.
I can double click on the link in the target list in the batch wizard and the open progress window, opens and shows that it gets a 200 result

What I can't do is start the batch process, it says it's not authorized, it's as though it's not trying the authentication details when trying to process the site.

I've double checked the username and password several times, and it's odd it works elsewhere in the validator just not when the process tries to run and validate the whole site.

Yes, that is odd that it would work with username/password in the editor by double-clicking it in the Batch Wizard but will not run the job.

Please go to the Batch Wizard Options and the 'When Running' page and select the option to 'Display verbose messages in the Batch Progress'. Next, run the job again. When it's done copy and paste all of the text in the Batch Progress tab and paste it here or email it to me at support at htmlvalidator.com.

Thank you! I think I've fixed this. Please re-download CSE HTML Validator Professional from here:
https://www.htmlvalidator.com/download/registered.php

You should get v15.0207 even though the page says it's 15.0200.

Please let me know how it works.
