When I try to open my index page from my computer I get an error message saying it can't be opened due to a fault.
But if I switch to the browser, I can open it from the web with no difficutly, validate it, alter it and save it again to my computer. But then can't open it again when I reopen the Validator.
I am running SE HTML Validator Professional v17.04
Editor v17.0402 (Pro); Engine DLL v17.0402 (Pro)
Thanks,
Merlene Guldager

Re: I get a Can't Open Page error message
Hello Merlene,
This message is displayed when there is an encoding problem. For example, the document may say that it's UTF-8 encoded but there are bad characters or bytes in the file that make it an invalid UTF-8 file.
Can you send the file to me via email attachment (to support at htmlvalidator dot com)? If so then I will take a closer look.
