Batch Wizard Crashing - v. 18.01

Post by Landon_Luko » Thu Mar 01, 2018 11:44 am

I just updated my professional version of CSS HTML Validator from 18.0014 to 18.01 today. As I was testing the new update out on a normal-sized website (200-300 resources/pages), Batch Wizard crashed mid-crawl. I ran it against a 4-page website and it worked, but I should be able to run it against larger sites than that. Could you fix this asap?

Thanks.

Hello,

I'm sorry for the trouble. I will need more information. What error/crash messages is it showing? Is there a certain page or URL that it is crashing on? Can I run the same job on my end to reproduce the problem?

Any details you can provide will be helpful. If I can reproduce the problem on my end then I should be able to get a fix out right away.

There's no error/crash message. All I get is the Windows' popup:

"CSS HTML Validator 2018 Editor has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

As far as which link it's crashing on, I'm not sure. I've tried 2 different profiles and they both stop at different URLs (but each time they stop, they stop at the exact same place).

I'll email you a copy of a list file that had this problem. I believe you would be able to reproduce this error, but I'm not sure.

The target list was very helpful. I believe I've found and fixed the problem. Please download CSS HTML Validator Pro again. You should get v18.0101 even though the system doesn't know about that version yet. You can download it here:
https://www.htmlvalidator.com/download/registered.php

Please let me know if it fixes the problem.

Thank you for reporting this and again, I'm sorry for the trouble!
