Hello,

I am using TS4.0.0.81 and I am getting same problem like this post.
I use Japanese on UTF-8. The encoding quality is OK but it does overlaps to the closing tag.
I suppose it is multi-byte language problem.

OS: Windows 7 home 64bit, Japanese edition

I can't get any support for this issue :(
My English doesn't work to explain, perhaps.

I'm pretty sure TopStyle uses the same editor component that CSE HTML Validator does, but I think it's an older version that may not support Chinese characters/fonts properly. I suspect this is a current limitation in the version of the editor component that TopStyle is currently using.

I'd like to try viewing this document in CSE HTML Validator and see if it displays properly. Can you send me a small file with Chinese characters, via email attachment to support at htmlvalidator.com, that I could display in CSE HTML Validator and see if it displays properly?

Thanks for emailing me the file. It looks like it displays correctly in CSE HTML Validator v10.

Hi,

I have updated to TS version 4.0.0.88 today.
But the overlap problem has not been solved.
When will it be fixed?

You might want to say "Buy CSE" to me.
I would like to use TS for my web coding job asap.

Hi

I have recently purchased Topstyle 5 and find this bug still has not been addressed.

I have also checked with CSE HTML Validator V12 standard edition - and I find the display shows correctly.

I see this bug has been viewed over 3k times - to me that says this is a problem that affects many users.

You state that UTF-8 is fully supported in TopStyle5 - unfortunately this does not seem to be the case.

Is it your intention to fix this problem?

I am quite disappointed as I have used TopStyle since V3.

I look forward to your comments.

It is a display problem. Whether or not TopStyle supports UTF-8 has nothing to do with it (yes, TopStyle fully supports UTF-8). I'm sorry TopStyle 5 is still having this display problem. It is my intention to fix this, but there is no specific time frame.

I am sorry but I do not follow your logic - your reply is like saying "the operation was 100% successful, however the patient died"
I do hope you will consider the problem as more pressing than in the past as I firmly believe you are miss-selling this product in its current state. I will not be able to use Topstyle 5 as it is and for me I have wasted my licence fee.

I'm not saying the operation was 100% successful. I am confirming the problem. I'm also saying I'm planning on fixing it.

I do not believe I'm miss-selling this product because the problem is display-only (there is no file corruption) and it is limited to a few asian languages out there. However, that is no excuse. I'm planning on fixing it.
