Top Style 4.0 File Permission

I am thinking of purchasing a couple licenses for TopStyle 4.0 and have been using the trial version for 2 days now. I really like how close TopStyle 4.0 is compared to what Homesite 5 used to be. The only thing holding me back right now are the file permissions. I notice when using FTP to transfer files, TopStyle is setting a specific file permission that isn't what it should be. It is setting it as rw-r-r. This is very annoying when I specifically might have my file permissions set as rwx-rwx-r. It causes me to telnet into the machine and change the file permissions on each edit. Is there a way to stop TopStyle for changing the permissions on the server or is there a feature where we can set the default file permission and group when saving files via FTP? I also noticed it removes the group that is setup on the file which is also a pain. Please let me know how to get TopStyle to stop changing the file group and permissions using FTP.

Hi jleblanc,

Have you tried to change this setting?

Options (F8) > FTP Sites > Edit > "On save, re-create file(s) on remote site"

Un-checking this setting might prevent TopStyle from resetting the permissions.

Thanks!
